Luigi Donora je nastavljač velike istarske glazbene tradicije, koju je Antonio Smareglia afirmirao upravo u svom Vodnjanu, u mnogim je prilikama iskazivao, s velikim talentom, svoju ljubav prema svom kraju. Kao skladatelj, mnoga djela je posvetio Istri (Miniature istriane i dr.) i njegova kćer Giuliana iako nije glazbenica trudi se u promociji i očuvanju kulturnih dobara naše Regije.
